Located on the south side of the Trans Canada Highway at the furthest east point in the city, Southland is built close to the newest commercial area of the city including the new power centre that includes Wal-Mart, Canadian Tire, Ashley Furniture, Home Depot, several restaurants and other small businesses. Southland is also a very short drive to the Medicine Hat Mall and other amenities that lead to the down town core.
